Hotel room Lain, 2008
The four luxurious ‘Palazzo’ rooms at Hotel Piz Linard are designed by different artists and designers. The characteristic element of Room Lain is the floor, which has floorboards that are inclined by 6 degrees. These point at the eponymous mountain Piz Linard. The design of the textile elements follows the same rule. The hand knitted blanket, the crocheted rugs and the hand-tufted carpet are also striped; the small inclination is only visible at a second glance.
